Northeast Indiana Works has drafted a local workforce development plan for Program Years 2020-2024.
The plan can be accessed at Northeast Indiana Works’ website under Other Documents.
The document represents a strategic plan designed to coincide with a statewide plan developed by the Governor’s Workforce Cabinet. Such plans are required every four years.
The local plan, which drives workforce development system activities in 11 northeast Indiana counties, includes supporting the goal of increasing the percentage of northeast Indiana residents with high-quality degrees or credentials to 60 percent; aligning workforce and economic development efforts; addressing the skill needs of employers; driving collaboration among numerous entities throughout the region, and focusing on youth initiatives that ensure sustainable talent pipelines.
